run or cancel autoexec.bat at windows nt/xp/vista

Modify the following value within HKEY_CURRENT_USER:

Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\ParseAutoexec

1 = autoexec.bat is parsed
0 = autoexec.bat is not parsed
